Hello there! I wrote a small tool that might be helpful for people working with multiple AI coding assistants, so sharing it here with my network.
AI coding tools are moving fast. Claude Code, Junie, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other assistants are getting updated frequently. That is great, because the tooling is improving quickly. I believe it still makes sense to use multiple tools, keep up with updates, and try new features as they become available.
However, it also creates a practical problem: if you use more than one assistant, your configuration starts to fragment. Each ecosystem has its own way of handling repo guidelines, rules, skills, custom agents, MCP configs, and project-level instructions. Some tools expect rules in one file. Others support separate rule files. Some look in specific directories. Some require everything to be merged into files like CLAUDE.md or .junie/ AGENTS.md. Keeping all of that consistent across repos and tools can become annoying pretty quickly.
I built a small utility to help with this. It is not anything overly complicated: mostly a set of scripts to modify and sync files, plus a skill that can handle all the command-line side for you. The idea is to let you define your guidelines, rules, skills, custom agents, and MCP config in a more generic form, then sync them into the formats and locations expected by different AI development tools. In other words: your custom AI development setup should travel more easily between ecosystems.
I know some tools like this already exist. I was not trying to make “yet another one”, but when looking for them, I didn't find one covering all the assistants I needed. Also, most of these don't properly convert the frontmatter (the yaml metadata part of rules, skills, mcp servers for agents) - they just copy files.
The project was written with AI, tested, reviewed and patched by AI - but yes, I was also there ;). I have tested it on several repos with various agents.
